Why Progress Really Stalls

Most people do not stall on their path to success because they lack talent or discipline. They stall because they are overloaded - mentally, emotionally, and strategically. This overload creates a weight that slows your progress and speeds up your frustration. Operating from the space of frustration does not support your way forward to success. It moves you toward frustration.

Where the Weight Comes From

That overload often shows up as:

  • Too Many Priorities Competing for Attention
  • Too Many Expectations - Yours and Others'
  • Too Many Silent Rules About What Success Should Look Like
  • Not honoring failure as feedback

The weight builds quietly - Gradually and then suddenly you have stalled out! Possibly experiencing the same year over and over again, with little to no advancement.

A Season That Looked Like Success

One year, I decided to make it a year of "yes". Agreeing to say yes to offers of travel, dinners, parties, events, gala's, fundraisers, volunteering, etc. While it was fun at first, it started to feel "off" about midway through the year. It was as if the momentum of yes was running over me like a steamroller! I was treating all events with the smae priority I was treating my success.  Expectations as to how and who I'd show up as started to weigh heavy on my mind. I soon was going through the motions, miserable and ignoring the feedback. The feedback that yes can be a strategy IF what you are saying yes too is in alignment with your values and goals. Once I gave myself permission to be selective about the "yes", I was able to breath again.

The Breakthrough People Miss

Breakthroughs do not always come from pushing harder.

Sometimes they come from:

  • Putting something down
  • Letting go of what once worked
  • Releasing effort that no longer creates return

These simple yet powerful actions reduce your "more". Less creates space. Space creates leverage. Having space for the right more to show up. Allowing the space for the unknown successes that are just waiting for you.

This Weeks Action

Identify one thing you are carrying that no longer earns its weight. That thing that is occupying space that it no longer deserves. Write it down. Do not solve it - just name it.

If you want help decided what to release, hit reply and tell me what  you are wrestling with!

What If This Season Requires Elimination?
What if this season is not asking you to expand, but to eliminate? You are capable of more. That has never been the issue. The question is whether more is actually the answer. When you focus deeply on a few priorities, performance improves. Energy stabilizes. Results compound. So why do we keep adding? Sometimes expansion is growth. Other times it is avoidance of refinement. Less over more is n...
What If Calm Is the Advantage?
When uncertainty rises, what is your instinct?   Do you accelerate? Add? Expand? Or do you simplify?   What if calm is power? What if narrowing your focus while others scatter is the real competitive advantage?   The strongest leaders refine under pressure. They reduce noise and strengthen certainty.   Clarity is disciplined. It allows you to move deliberately while others react impulsively.   ...

You remember when achievement felt energizing. Why does it feel different now? Have you evolved in ways your definition of success has not? Continuing to grow in the wrong direction will not restore meaning. Refining your direction will. Inside the Less Over More community, we are not chasing bigger targets. We are defining the right ones. When focus matches your season, wins feel meaningful ag...
