For much of my life, I was really good at more. More responsibility, more achievement, more goals. By most traditional measures it worked — my career has run from corporate leadership to real estate, entrepreneurship, coaching, speaking, and becoming an author.
After thousands of hours coaching executives and high achievers, I noticed a pattern: they rarely lacked ambition. They were carrying too much — too many priorities, expectations, and definitions of success inherited from someone else. I realized the breakthrough wasn’t always adding another strategy. Sometimes we have to subtract something first. Those questions became my book, Less Over More.
I’m not against more. I love growth and big goals. But I’ve learned to ask a better question: more of what? Less and more aren’t opposites — less is the process, more is the outcome. Today, as a coach, speaker, author, and host of The Mindset Architect, my work centers on one idea: success should be intentional, not inherited.
